Sun & Sky summer concert

Sun & Sky Concert, 11th July 2026
Methodist Church, Lichfield
We had a fabulous concert that everyone really seemed to enjoy - despite the heat of the day (which also meant we abandoned our formal dress code). This was our first concert at the Methodist Church and it was nice to see, on top of quite a full audience, so many passers-by peering in and stopping outside to listen, on their way to watch the England football match in local pubs soon after we finished!
Our MD Liam had come up with quite a challenging repertoire and there was a great sense of accomplishment in that the choir performed so well. Harry Brown, our accompanist for the evening, was in good form on the organ and keyboard, and we were delighted to have Alice Condon join us as guest Soprano soloist. Steve Hayes, one of our tenors, delivered splendid solo parts, and the recently formed 4 person A cappella group from our number sang some wonderful madrigals.
